Archaeologists brave the elements
Archaeologists from CPAT have been battling the elements to complete excavations on an Early Medieval cemetery near Llanrhaeadr-ym-Mochnant, in northern Powys. Having endured freezing temperatures for several days the last day of the excavation saw the heaviest snowfall in November for many years. Conditions were so extreme that they had to construct a make-shift shelter to keep the snow off in order to finish excavating one of the graves.
