Volunteers enjoy digging at Moel Y Gaer, Llantysilio
A band of hardy volunteers helped CPAT's excavation team to excavate a trial area in the interior of Moel y Gaer Iron Age hillfort on Llantysilio Mountain in late September and early October. The excavation was organised on behalf on Denbighshire County Council's Heather and Hillforts Project and was deemed to be a great success. Digging revealed the remains of two Iron Age round houses.
