What a day for a walk!
On a very wet morning in June (it must be nearly time for Wimbledon and the Glastonbury Festival!) Jeff Spencer of CPAT led a guided walk around Welshpool on behalf of the Ponthafren Association. The rain didn’t dampen anyone’s enthusiasm and the group stopped at several locations as Jeff explained how the town grew from the 12th century and pointed out interesting historic features. The walk ended at the Ponthafren Association’s outreach centre at 42 Broad Street with a very welcome cuppa and slice of cake.
