Volunteer 'Highly Commended' by Wales Council for Voluntary Action
Mr Rod Trevaskus has been awarded a certificate by the Wales Council for Voluntary Action as part of its 'Wales Volunteer of the
Year Awards 2010'. Rod, of Middletown near Welshpool has recently retired from volunteering at CPAT after working with members of the public and archaeological finds as part of the Portable Antiquities Scheme. Rod's nomination (one of almost 200) was highly commended by the judging panel. Since 2007 Rod has done an enormous amount of work talking to people, identifying finds, photographing them and creating records about them on the Portable Antiquities Scheme database and we would like to take this opportunity to publicly thank Rod for all his hard work and enthusiasm.
