Digging around Walton . . .
Recent excavation and survey in the Walton Basin was the subject of a talk in Walton Village by CPAT's Nigel Jones. The evening was organised by Old Radnor Womens Institute, whose numbers were bolstered for the event by other members of the local community, with around 40 people in attendance.
The talk, which had the same theme as a previous event in Evenjobb, focused on recent work at the Womaston causewayed enclosure, a potential cursus at Hindwell, an unusually large ring ditch at Walton Court Farm and the Neolithic palisaded enclosures at Hindwell and Walton, a site which was recently excavated by CPAT in February 2010.
