Hafodfeddgar lies in the community of Llanidloes Without in the county of Powys. It is located at Ordnance Survey national grid reference SN87558585. The mine is recorded in the CPAT Historic Environment Record as number 18987 and this number should be quoted in all correspondence.

Copper/Lead/Zinc Trials (1846-1869)

Geology
Silurian Gwestyn shales with iron, lead, zinc and copper mineralisation.

Workings
Five levels and numerous trial pits are reported here. The levels are all run-in and the trials can still be discerned in low sunlight.
