Section 5: Collections

 

This section has been the subject of some debate, in as much as while it was in the original brief it subsequently appeared that a forthcoming project being undertaken by the Council for Museums in Wales was going to look at the archaeological holdings of Museums and other repositories.  It was agreed therefore that this audit would not look in any detail at such collections.  However, the following indicative lists have been included, many of which were already to hand, indicating a number of organisations and individuals thought to hold material concerning the Clwyd-Powys area - but the content of their holdings has not been looked in any detail.  It should be read in conjunction with the lists of current projects, all of which are also producing archive material.
