GROOVED STONE MAUL WITH A FLAT HEAD AND A SHARP WELL SHAPED EDGE SOME 0.118M LONG 0.081M WIDE AND 0.05M THICK FOUND IN THE BED OF THE RIVER IAEN (Grimes, W F, 1951). THE MAUL IS RECORDED (SEE OS, 1974) AS BEING IN THE LLANBRYNMAIR SCHOOL MUSEUM THOUGH THERE IS A PLASTER CAST IN THE NATIONAL MUSEUM OF WALES (Grimes, W F, 1951). THE EXACT FINDSPOT IS NOT CLEAR FROM Grimes, W F, 1951 AND NGR GIVEN HERE IS NOT AUTHORITATIVE.
