Bridge over Lledan Brook at Church Street (formerly Bull Street) in centre of Welshpool. Bull Arch replaced by a culvert c. 1843. Small stone bridge of one segmental arch surviving only at downstream end near the old Clive Cinema. Voussoirs and prominent keystone have rock-faced rustication, parapet of large blocks with scappled surface now broken down but probably originally two courses. Parapet rebuilt in 1847 'because of accidents'. Culvert collapsed in Church Street in 1982 and replaced. Bridge elevation in urgent need of repair. Bridge designed or erected by Thomas Penson (1790-1859) (Anthony, C R, 1995).
