Mid to late C18. 3 storeys. Red brick. 3 sash windows with glazing bars. Central brick porch. Hipped roof over coved eaves. 2-storey rear section with arched passages within which is a former malthouse.

(Former listing description)

The malthouse consists of a drying kiln on the ground floor and malting floor above in the eastern half of the house. Ground level steps down into the kiln which is square with an east facing entrance and blocked access in the north side. Stone built with brick piers above supporting malting floor. Arched stone corridor surrounds the kiln with access from the west and through to the north via a timber framed partition (Walters, M, 2002).

At right angles to street

c1800. 3 storeys with 2-storeyed rear wing parallel to street. 3-window range with central entrance. Main elevation is brick, with rubble in gable to street and to rear wing. Hipped slate roof with end wall stacks. Main elevation has central entrance in added brick porch flanked by 2-pane sash windows to ground floor, 12 and 6-pane sashes in upper storeys, with flat arched rendered heads with stressed keystones. Coved plaster eaves. Lower rear wing is a 2-window range.

A well-preserved typical example of a town-house of c1800.
