PRN 72081 - Welshpool, Llyndu Brook, Culvert

NGR :- SJ22570735 (SJ20NW)
Unitary authority :- Powys
Community :- Welshpool
Prefered site type :- Post Medieval - Culvert (Structure - Damaged )

NW/SE running culvert, presumably the continuation of the Llyndu Brook Culvert, recorded on the 1891 OS map. When located the culvert was choked with debris and fallen bricks. It was originally constructed in local green stone, but at a later date, the stone arch has been lined with brick. The brook ran towards the canal, but appears to be stepped down to run under the canal and continue east (Frost, P,1999).
