Moel Unben lies in the community of Llanfair Talhaiarn in the county of Conwy. It is located at Ordnance Survey national grid reference SH9080068000. The mine is recorded in the CPAT Historic Environment Record as number 18128 and this number should be quoted in all correspondence.
