Middletown Hill

Middletown Hill lies in the community of Trewern in the county of Powys. It is located at Ordnance Survey national grid reference SJ30931322. The mine is recorded in the CPAT Historic Environment Record as number 18990 and this number should be quoted in all correspondence.

Geology
Ordovician shales, conglomerates and tuffs with calcite, barytes and galena mineralisation.

Workings
There is a shaft and level at SJ30901320 within Powys while a group of trials in the form of linear earthwork trenches are just over the border in Shropshire at SJ30951320.
